Trader loses gems and cash in break-in
KUALA TERENGGANU: A 30-year-old businessman lost valuables and cash worth RM15,000 after his house in Besut was burgled.
The victim, who is staying with his parents, left the house in Kampung Raja, Besut, for a business trip to Sabah on April 12.
Soon after, his parents also left the house for treatment at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kelantan.
State CID chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Fauzi Abduri said the businessman returned on Tuesday and found the main door unlocked and his bedroom ransacked.
Upon checking, he found some jewellery and RM1,300 missing.
The victim lodged a report at the Kampung Raja police station at 9.30pm on the same day.
